fillings,shopping, and shots

Today was a very unusual random day. It included random stores, restaurants, and activities(those activities are not very fun in my opinion.) I woke up and I was told to keep my little cousin Lydia, asleep. So I did. I worked on my blog and to my joy, my mom came home from her run telling me that I have to wake up Lydia for a dentist appointment that I have to go to. Now, no one be disappointed with me but... my dentist found my first cavity in my mouth on one of my molars, BUT he said that it was from genetics. So don't blame me, blame my mom and dad. Well anyway, so we rode to the dentists tired and me, well I was annoyed. I didn't exactly feel like getting a cavity filling at ten in the morning. Over all it didn't really hurt, but it wasn't very comfortable with three people looking in your mouth at the same time while having to be strapped up in a chair with your tooth vibrating and jiggling. We then went shopping in downtown Traverse City. We stuffed our mouths with Cherry Republic samples, scarfed down yummy chicken noodle soup from Crema's, and headed to the doctor to get Gardisil shots for of course me. We waited for ever but luckily the doctor office waiting room had a Bop it that was running out of battery, so it made really hilarious noises when the voice would fade out every time you would play. (bop it is a toy that we played with in Ohio at our New Years celebration.) We were all cracking up. The shot REALLY killed but luckily I'm able to type with the arm that had a shot. If I wasn't able to type, that would be a disaster! :):)

The B-E-A-utiful, Pyramid Point

Yesterday, our family was longing for real, well what I'm trying to say is fun, exercise. So where else do want to go when you want exercise and fun... Pyramid Point. So yesterday we drove to Pyramid Point in a beautiful day. We stopped by a trail head to eat lunch and got our bathing suits and sunscreen oh and of course our bug spray that we got at the farmers market.( the bug spray was 8 dollars and we think it attracted mosquitoes!) We then drove to the Pyramid Point trail head and started the hike up to the beautiful lookout over Lake Michigan. Once we got there, my cousin Lydia was blown away. She lives in Grand Rapids and she doesn't usually see big views like that, so she was amazed. But we wasted no time at the top. That fresh blue water looked so cool and refreshing compared to the hot, humid day. We trampled down the hill getting sand in our mouth and doing summer salts. We raced into the water, and then running right back out considering the ice cold temperature. As we sat on the beach we noticed a HUGE storm cloud rolling in and we could see pouring rain hitting the water about a mile away. We decided we should probably start heading up. (oh and my dad would probably want to include this... he dove into the freezing lake Michigan. I know I didn't, but i had my little cousin to take care of!) well anyway so after about ten minutes we reached the top panting with our tongues hanging out exactly like our dogs. We picked up our NEED supplies at the Totem Shop (a necklace and a Laffy Taffy bar) and headed home exhausted. Then we stayed up till' 12:30 watching movies! hehe!

Now this is what we Michiganians call fun!

Lydia says that Traverse city is her favorite city, so we thought we could make her like it even more. So today we showed Lydia some of our favorite things to do. We woke up and at about 10:00 we headed out for the farmers market in downtown T.C. We picked up a bunch of Rhubarb(yum) a bag of fresh lettuce (it included deli sh edible flowers) and a bunch of fresh local asparagus. We then headed to Macy's and my parents spent about an hour and a half looking for a new suit and of course a couple of extra things. They said they got a great deal, but I don't really see why a suit that costs 450 dollars is considered a "great deal" Even though Lydia and I got pretty bored we found entertaining things to do. (pretended we were Macy's manikins with the front door manikin, and spied on the scary grumpy cash register lady.) We then convinced our parents to get us ice cream because of how incredibly patient we were (works every time) and headed out to the boat dock on the bay. The water was like a giant ice cube but it was a gorgeas sunny day. Now, Lydia is obsessed with T.C.

The giggle Machine

Today my cousin Lydia came over. she just graduated from third grade and is nine years old. I was bored yesterday so we called Lydia and asked if she could come over for the week. So she's watching me type this right now and just giggled. She just giggled again, and again, and again. Well I guess what i just wrote is pretty funny! Lydia NEVER stops laughing. I mean she's cracking up right this second. She wanted to come to Traverse City because its her favorite city. Well gotta go. Lydia is having a laugh attack.

today i went to my bff jordan's house. We went to the mall but unfortunantly we had to squish into a seat next to a ninth grade boy. jordan's brother brandon had his basketball team in the car and jordan and i wernt very happy went we went around a leaning corner. I had to be the one sitting next to the boy. jordan got to sit in the seat next to the window. it was a great way to kick off the summer.
